Epi begins with Dadi taunting Gyaatri over Aman as he has ruined her family’s image. She walks out for Agarwal House in a huff with Gayatri following her, trying to talk to her.

Anand asks Aman for an explanation. You are telling me that you wont marry Akku one day before the engagement? Do you realise the meaning of what you are saying? Akku tries to say something but her father tells her to be quiet. Anand refuses to listen to Aman and so does Sandeep. Akku tries to intervene but in vain. Anand disagrees to allow it. this means Ma ji (Dadi) was right. He tells Aman to go home for now. we will talk later. Dida suggests him to hear Aman once. Aman apologizes to Anand. I know all this shouldn’t have happened. I am sorry for that. I got late in telling you all and took time to think about the same. but this decision is very big for me, Akku and Neha. Till the time I could reach a conclusion the engagement date approached. I thought to convince Dadi before talking to you people but Dadi got to know about it before I could tell her anything and she came here. Secondly, I apologize to you for what Dadi has said about you all and Neha. She is mistaken, I will clear her misunderstanding very soon. sandeep and Anand are still not able to understand how Neha came in between all this. aman says I have realised it (late) that I can be happiest with Neha only. I want to marry Neha. Everyone looks at him in shock. Neha is my good friend. I had never thought of her like that but since she has returned from hospital, I have come to realise that she is a very good partner for me. this is why I have come to ask for Neha’s hand. Anand looks at him speechlessly.

Sandeep talks about Akku. What about her? You think she is a puppet? How can you be so heartless? Akku tries to speak again but Sandeep tells her to be quiet. Aman apologizes to Sandeep and to Akku as well. He accepts his mistake. What if I hadn’t spoken about what I feel and had married Akku? Would it have been right with Akku? You think we would have been happy together? Akku supports him. This decision is not just Aman’s but mine as well. Her family members look at her stunned. It was me who had started it actually. I only had told AMan to think again about the engagement as I could see him bonding well with Didi. I could see that he stays much happier with Aman. Didi likes Aman too. Sandeep is confused. Akku tells them how Didi loves Aman since always. We might have thought of it to be Didi’s childishness but Didi still loves Aman. This is the reason why I asked him to think again. aman tells them about the box and the things inside it which Neha had kept safely over all these years. Akku asks them if they still think Aman was wrong. Sunita is worried about Akku too. We will have to tell our relatives. Questions will be raised on you too. What will we tell them? akku says we cannot worry about what relatives are going to say. Didi is elder to me so she should get married first. Wouldn’t you have been thinking about her marriage right now if Didi had not been in coma? Anand says you guys have complicated everything. Akku tells them to think as they are elders. But I want to see Aman and Didi together. My happiness lies in that only. Aman and Akku look at each other. Dida says Aman’s family is not ready for Aman and Neha’s marriage. What can we do about it? Aman promises to make everyone agree for this alliance. They will agree willingly. Just give me some time please. He leaves from there, agreeing to meet them again real soon. sunita starts crying.

Kartik is talking to her girlfriend Ritika. She tells him to meet her dad as this is the final year of her college. Dad will start choosing guys for me. Take this relationship seriously please. He agrees. But first you will have to impress my mom. You know she isn’t happy about our relation. He hears Dadi’s voice and ends the call. Gayatri comes to talk to Dadi. Kartik looks on from a distance.

Akku consoles her mother. Sandeep gets a call from caterers. Anand tells him to keep it on hold. Why did you (Akku) and Aman made this decision? You should have told me atleast. Sunita affirms. Akku says Aman took time in taking this decision but I am happy that he did the right thing that too before engagement. Sunita reminds her of Dadi’s words. Anand too points out that even Gayatri bhabhi dint say anything. Dida tells them to be calm but Anand thinks of what people will say. Aman was going to get married to the younger daughter of the house and not he is marrying the elder daughter? If I had a little idea then! dida tells him to think from Neha’s perspective too. What will we tell her? she has made up her mind after a lot of difficulty for Akku and AMan’s engagement! What will she feel now after knowing that Aman wants to marry her but Dadi is against this relation! She will get upset over it. anand tells everyone not to tell anything to Neha. It was good that she couldn’t hear anything as she had gone out. Let us sort out this matter first after which we will decide what to tell her and how. Neha returns home with Suraj just then.

Before entering, Neha checks that Hitler Dadi is gone. She speaks about the same excitedly. She finds everyone tensed and quiet. Has Hitler Dadi said anything? Dida denies. She had come for a regular visit. We sent her back before she could create any drama. Shagun too returns home. She too notices the sad faces of everyone. Neha can see that her mother has been crying. She gets concerned. Sunita lies that she was cutting onions. Neha recalls how she had overheard her mother talking to some Verma aunty that she never cries while cutting onions. Akku too is all sad. You all are lying to me. dida denies. your mother cries on every other thing. neha can sense that Dida is lying to her. suraj asks for water from his mom. They both leave. Neha asks Akku to tell the truth.

In the kitchen, Shagun tries to talk to Sandeep but he wants to distract neha first or things will get ugly. He leaves. She stands there tensed.

Sandeep says mumma is crying as her daughter will leave from this house. Neha hugs her mumma. You got senti? Do you love Akku most? She opens her mom’s tied hairs again and everyone ends up smiling at her antics. This is your punishment for loving Akku the most. I already knew it was going to happen which is why I have an announcement to make. Suraj and I have decided to perform a special program on Akku’s engagement. They all clap half heartedly. Neha hugs her sister. She excitedly talks about how they all will dance on Akku’s engagement.

Gayatri brings food for her MIL. You have to take medicines too. Dadi asks her to get poison for her. Do anything that you all want to do after that. Aman comes home too. Gayatri looks at him. Aman sits next to Dadi. You are angry with me then please don’t take it out on food. He begins to feed her but she wants him to stop thinking about marrying Neha. He agrees to discuss it later but she insists. He stands up now. Neha isn’t mad but a little kiddish. It will go away in time. Dadi says it will take 12 years. Dadi asks Gayatri what Aman wants from her. He will leave that Neha on us when he will go out for work. One mad hospital has closed down in Agra and will now open up in our house only. Aman tells her to stop which leaves everyone shocked. Those who laugh and smile aren’t mad. He walks away from there upset.

Sandeep is shocked to know that Shagun knew about it already. She explains how she had been trying to tell him about it but he was angry that day. I dint get a chance to talk to you afterwards. Sandeep says you could have woken me from my sleep to tell this to me. mumma has given shagun’s mehendi to their home and you were waiting for a chance. We wouldn’t have been this insulted today if you would have told me. dadi has said so much to us. Mummy, papa and Dida are in shock and embarrassed too. She tries to explain that she had no idea that Dadi will come here but he says I am disappointed with you. She apologizes to him but he walks away angrily.

Gayatri tries to make Dadi eat but Dadi refuses again. you should have said something to Aman but you are quiet. Gayatri doesn’t know what to say as Aman has said it clearly that he wont be happy with anyone else. How can we force him then? he isn’t a kid anymore. How can we stop him all the time? You very well know that kartik has always been a free bird just like his dad. Dadi loses her cool hearing her son’s name. Don’t put the blame on my son as it was you who couldn’t live it out with him. why are you against Kartik all the time? He isn’t a fool like Aman to befriend a mad girl. he knows how to befriend rich people, like his grandfather. Aman has fallen in a pit. Dadi warns Gayatri that Neha wont come in this house. Tell Aman to get this thought out of his head. He should marry Akku. kartik hears it from a distance. Dadi swears not to eat anything till Aman agrees with her.

Aman’s words echo in Gayatri’s head. She also recalls how Neha remembers every minute detail related to Aman (including pineapple halwa). Neeta asks her mother about flowers that are to be delivered. Gayatri is lost but then tells Neeta to tell them to wait. We will call them in a while. Neeta ends the call after conveying the message to Pandey ji (florist). Neeta asks her mother if everything is alright. Gayatri is worried over what Aman has told her. Neeta wants to know more but they notice Sunita and Neha and go quiet.

Neha expresses her relief when she gets to know that Dadi isn’t home. She calls Aman her jija ji somehow. We have brought mehendi for Aman jija ji. She keeps the boxes of sweets on the table while Sunita congratulates her as she extends the mehendi thaal in Gayatri’s direction. Gayatri takes it after a mulling over it a lot. Neha picks up the bowl. She tells Neeta to keep it in the fridge. We did the same with our bowl of mehendi. In the process Neha’s hands gets henna. Gayatri observes it and looks all the more disturbed. Neha says no to Neeta when she offers to bring a tissue for her. I love mehendi. She has even made a design and shows her hand to Gayatri, Neeta and her mom. Sunita wants to talk to Gayatri so they sit down for a cup of tea. Neha goes out as she had told her mother beforehand that she doesn’t want to stay back at Aman’s place (not even for a tea). Gayatri is observing Neha the while.

Outside, a feather lands in Neha’s hands. Title track plays as she tries to hold it but then it flies as soon as she opens her fist. She jumps to catch it but in vain. Aman returns home and smiles seeing her like that. He walks towards her though she is unaware of his presence. She turns and stumbles as they both reach each other resulting in their fall. She laughs happily as she falls over him while he looks at her adorably. They share an eye lock after which they both get up feeling a little uncomfy. He complains that she always makes him fall. She calls his courtyard tilted. Someone or the other keeps falling. He smiles at her answer but then blames her again. He pulls her up and his hands get henna too. Neha tells him that being his sister-in-law he brought mehendi for him else she wouldn’t come at his house ever. She doesn’t have an answer when he asks for reason. he asks her if she wont even come to meet him. she denies. you aren’t a captain anymore that you will take me in your team. He says what if I indeed take you in my team. She gets excited at the idea but then notices the feather that has fallen on Aman’s shoulder. Don’t move ok. She leans closer while sweet background music plays as he looks at her. she carefully picks it up. She suggests him to blow it together. Sunita comes there before they could do it. aman greets her. she has to leave with Neha to make preps for tomorrow. gayatri calls out for Aman so he heads inside only after waving a happy goodbye to Neha. She too waves back happily.

Dadi and Jayanti are returning home. They talk about the children of today who can go to any extent to make their parents agree to anything. They both notice Sunita and Neha at their door. dadi gete irked again. jayanti too adds fuel to the fire. Who will feel good losing a guy like Aman! Sunita is relieved that Gayatri bhabhi wasn’t angry with us. Neha replies this is what I had told you. Talk straight. Dadi and Jayanti turn the other side to hide their faces. Dadi is upset with Gayatri for she will ruin Aman’s life this way. Don’t know what have they said to that mother son duo. I wont spare anyone. Jayanti stops her but Dadi is in no mood to wait. She leaves for Agarwal House.

Sandeep had a word with decorator who will come by 7 pm. Neha comes running and drinks water. She finds Akku all quiet. She gives a glass of water to Akku. Drink it, you will need it as you will go to that Hitler Dadi’s house after your marriage. Dida when I go there my throat dries up in mere 5 minutes. Akku will go for her whole life. Practise drinking loads of water from now on. Sunita tells her not to talk like this but Neha continues talking in fun way. We should get a helmet for Akku. Dadi will shout on Akku and she will wear helmet to protect herself. Her family members smile but Neha is shocked to see Hitler Dadi at her door. they too follow her gaze and go serious.

Dadi tells Neha to make as much fun of her as she wants to. Neha greets her but Dadi is as usual angry. Neha walks out of the house with Suraj on the pretext of buying colour pencils.

Anand greets Dadi worriedly. Dadi looks at Sunita pointedly as she remarks that they are trying to get rid of their headache. Jayanti waits to see the drama from outside.

Neeta talks about the call from florist yet again. gayatri tells her not to pick their call. Aman asks for Dadi. Gayatri says she has gone to temple. Mehendi has come from Agarwal House. Whatever you want to do, do it fast! He is waiting for Dadi to return from temple only. He gets call from Akku. She asks him if he told his decision to Dadi. He says I am waiting for her to return from the temple only. Akku realises that maybe Dadi got to know about it which is why she has come here. She is very angry too. Akku ends the call hastily. Neeta asks Aman about the call. He too leaves for Agarwal House with Gayatri following him. neeta stands there all tensed.

Dadi talks against Neha. You could have told me I would have brought proposals for Neha but you eyed our house only. They are confused at whatever she is saying. Dadi still continues to rant about their sending Neha after Aman. Aman is a simple guy and eventually fell for Neha. Anand speaks in Neha’s favour. She is still a kid at heart of 14 years only. She never thinks ill against anyone. dadi refuses to make any relation with them, neither with Akku nor with Neha. Everyone is taken aback. Anand says Aman is getting engaged to Akku. Who spoke to you about Neha? Dadi blames them for making Neha stick with them since she has returned from the hospital. Why are you sending her after us? Dida is very much moved to tears. Mind your language please, this isn’t a way to talk. Dadi doesn’t relent. Find a guy somewhere else who himself is not sane. Otherwise who will marry this mad girl? Neha’s mom is in tears while everyone else is shocked. Aman steps in and agrees to marry Neha, shocking everyone else.

Dadi tries to stop him from making such a mistake. Forget all this rubbish. Stay away from both Neha and AKku from now onwards. Aman refuses to back out from his decision. Trust me your fear is wrong. No one has misguided me. It is my decision. Anand and Sunita are confused while Akku supports Aman. Dadi yet again declines to let Aman marry a mad girl. aman takes Neha’s side. she isn’t mad but innocent. She is simple girl who only knows how to be happy. I know I will be happy with her. dadi reprimands him for it. that girl wont come in my house till I am alive. He requests her to bless them if she really wishes for his happiness. Dadi looks away helplessly. Aman apologizes to Neha’s parents and then proposes to marry Neha. Gayatri too reaches Agarwal House. Dadi taunts her indirectly. Gayatri takes them both home. Dadi taunts Agarwal family before leaving from there which angers Aman. Gayatri keeps him in check.

Aman says I spoke to Ma as it was important to tell her. neha gets up and requests him not to tell her mother about her eating ice cream at night. What would we have done if we would have wasted all this ice cream? He notices the melting ice cream and she immediately takes a bite. He smiles sweetly as she continues to eat all the ice cream from the bowl. She offers it to him as well but he denies. she cannot understand how can anyone say no to chocolate ice cream. Don’t know what happens to people when they grow up! Why did you come here? She realises something and goes inside. She hands him Hitler Dadi’s mala as she comes back. I am sure she must have forced you to bring it back right now. He smiles. She knows he is still afraid of Hitler Dadi. I am very smart and intelligent. I get to know everything and can solve any problem in 2 minutes. it doesn’t show on my face but I am. He cannot stop himself from laughing. He gives the credit for the same to her. you do something because of which I cannot do anything but smile. She compliments him for the same. she notices a mice and gets all scared. He covers her mouth using his hand as she shouts in fear. He gets all mesmerised by her innocence. She too ends up looking at him and they share a small eye lock. She finally frees her mouth. Why did you cover my mouth? Mice wouldn’t get scared of me. aman says I got scared. She calls him a coward and runs inside before the mice comes back. He smiles all over again.

Gayatri is unable to sleep in her room as she thinks about Aman’s decision of choosing Neha over Akku.

Sunita too is not able to sleep as she thinks about Gayatri’s sudden departure from their home. She gets up and finds her husband already sitting on a chair, all lost in thoughts. They both look at each other worriedly.

Akku comes out to meet Aman. He confesses to Akku that she was right. I couldn’t understand what you could see. I like Neha. With her I become the real Aman whom I had lost. She can bring out that Aman in me. she really makes me feel happy. I think I should marry him. Akku hides her hurt and smiles for his sake. she nods in agreement. He is still unsure about the fact if he is doing right with her or not. she assures him that she only wanted him to realise the same. This is good. He is confused whether to thank her or apologize. I have asked Ma to cancel the engagement. She says it is good you decided upon this before the engagement itself. I could see it clearly that Didi is your life partner, not me. don’t worry I will talk to my parents in the morning. But he offers to do it. they will be shocked so I must tell them. she assures him that this is the right thing. I am really happy for you both. He appreciates her and wishes that she gets a good guy for herself. He bids her goodnight and walks out of Agarwal House. Akku thinks that I cannot think about the future but just now a very good guy has walked out of my life. She eyes him sadly.

A tearful Akku comes back to her room. She sits beside her sleeping Didi. You were sleeping for those 12 years but I couldn’t sleep well on any single day out of all those years. I am responsible for your condition. My one mistake sent you to coma. In return I am just giving you Itti Si Khushi. I cannot return you those years but I am returning your Aman to you. She kisses Neha’s hand.

In his room, Aman imagines Neha calling him Gittu. Aman looks at Neha happily as she twirls around him. banjara plays in the background. He mentally confesses his love for Neha. I will make you the DIL of this house really soon.

Next morning, Anand and Sunita are still awake. They are not able to figure out what went wrong. She decides to call Gayatri who is in a fix as to what to say to Sunita. Gayatri puts it on fatigue. Sunita suggests talking to her about all the other arrangements for engagement. Gayatri postpones it to tomorrow. sunita agrees but is in doubt. She ends the call and tells Anand the same. he is worried why Gayatri ji is postponing it as there is no time left now. Shagun overhears all the convo from a distance. Sunita still feels that something is up.

Neha brings face pack for Akku. It is your engagement tomorrow. You get all fair skinned when you put this. akku says it is just a way to market it. Akku’s phone rings. neha shows the caller id. It is Akku’s college friend, Surabhi. The phone is on loud speaker. Surabhi talks to Akku about how she has forgotten her friends already even though she isn’t engaged yet. How are the preps going on? When is it? akku is all quiet so Neha speaks up. Akku is actually feeling shy. Neha invites her and all the other friends of Akku as well. I want to meet all of you. Surabhi apologizes as she cannot come. She congratulates Akku who goes quiet again. neha mistakes it to be her shyness. The call ends. Neha tells Akku that one must not be shy with their friends. If it was my engagement then I would have danced and told everyone about it. she isn’t your best friend right? Akku nods but keeps her eyes down. Neha can sense the change in Akku’s behaviour. Akku thinks that it is Aman who has actually changed his mind. Akku declines for the face pack. She offers to put it on Neha who sits in front of the mirror to see her appearance all along. Akku obliges. She prays that everyone’s hearts are like Neha Didi’s, like a kid, this kid only stays happy without any complication just like you.

Neha comes running to her Dida. How do I look today? neha tells her about the face pack. Sunita and Dida compliment her. sunita wants her to come with her to Gayatri’s house to give Shagun’s mehendi. Neha says no, take Akku with you. Sunita insists but Neha is scared of Hitler Dadi. Sunita assures her that she will be with her. Nothing will go wrong today. Neha feigns a leg sprain. Sunita tends to her feet while Dida can see Neha’s smiling face. Dida makes her understand that this ritual cannot be completed without her. A sister-in-law takes mehendi for her brother-in-law. You cannot put ring on plain hands on engagement so you must go. neha goes to change but tells her mother not to stay there for too long. Sunita is sure Gayatri’s house will be all decked up today. it is something else when a DIL is coming to your house. Dida nods.

Jayanti yet again tries to convey her message to Dadi who is unable to understand her acting. She is getting late for temple and wants to go but Jayanti stays put. Dadi takes it all wrong and thinks that Jayanti is saying Aman is going to commit suicide. She runs to stop Aman but Jayanti stop her. she breaks her fast finally. Aman wont marry Akku now. He has fallen in love with that mad girl. he told his Amma about it yester night. I overheard them. dadi gets angry. Aman will not bring that mad girl in our house. I wont let it happen!

Suraj takes his Ninni Bua with her to open all the Diwali gifts. Rekha is amused at Gayatri’s sudden departure. Is there some problem? Anand denies. she said she wasn’t feeling well. But Rekha is sure there is something. Gayatri ji was outside all the time with Aman. Sandeep tells her to stop thinking so much. Rekha goes quiet but looks angry. She takes their leave. Sunita requests her to stay back for the night but Rekha says that isn’t possible. You all must come to our home. They all nod. Rekha gives a packet to Shagun (filled with money I guess). Shagun tries to decline but Rekha stays put. It is from your dad. Buy something for yourself and Suraj. Shagun says I don’t need money but Rekha knows that Shagun needs it. Keep it, they will come handy. Shagun goes to drop her till outside. Sunita finds Akku all quiet. Did you have a word with Aman? Akku says no, I have no idea. Dida is sure if there was something then Gayatri would have told them for sure. Don’t worry. Neha comes out and finds everyone all worried. No one says anything to her. Neha says you all hide things from me. now I will do the same. you say I have grown up but no one tells me anything. Dida finally speaks up. We were just thinking about why Gayatri ji left so suddenly. Neha too had observed that. Gayatri aunty was quite angry. She dint hear anything but just saw them. They feel Gayatri ji got upset over something that they said or did. Neha suggests calling them. We will say sorry and make up for it. She rushes to dial Aman’s number but they all tell her to wait till the morning. Suraj brings a toy. His Ninni Bua goes with him to try it. Akku is in thoughts.

Kartik makes an entry just when Aman and his family reach home. He checks his breath for alcohol and then heads inside apologizing for being late. Gayatri doesn’t mind it. You are grown up so you guys can do anything. It doesn’t matter as no one listens to me anyways. She looks at Aman pointedly. Kartik follows her gaze confusedly after which she heads inside. Aman follows suit. Kartik asks Neeta what happened to mummy today. She dint even scold me. Has anyone acted worse than me? she goes inside sadly which confuses him all the more.

Outside, Shagun tells it all to her mom. She is in a fix. How do I tell this inside that Aman wants to marry Neha and not Akku? Rekha tells her against it. shagun is worried about the engagement which is due in 2 days. Aman is saying it now that he likes Neha. Rekha finds it good instead. Just think about it. since Neha is back home the expenses have increased. I know why the house hasn’t been painted. And why Suraj’s school has not been changed yet! Rather I was worried that if Akku gets married then the money which she earns and spends at this house will stop. It is good if Aman likes Neha. Onetime expense and things will be sorted for life. Shagun thinks about what Akku will go through. Rekha points out that even the engagement hasn’t been done yet. Akku is a good and well earning girl. she will get many good options but who will like Neha! I thought that Neha will be stuck to you as a burden for life but thankfully things are looking bright. Don’t think / act like you have heard anything at all. Shagun is tensed. Suraj comes to bid goodbye to his Nani. She invites him to her place with his mom before leaving.

Gayatri thinks of Aman’s words of how she could never become her husband’s friend. She recalls a time when he had taken her last piece of jewellery to mortgage it. I will get it back as soon as my business is all setup. She says not one has returned so far. Think about Neeta. Leave one piece of jewellery for her atleast. He had pointed out that Neeta is just 6 months old. You don’t worry about me. I will buy 6 such sets when my business blossoms to national and international level. You don’t want to support me! she is sad that this was what she has been doing so far. Please find some job here. We will live happily in whatever you will earn. Why are you taking such a big risk? Think about Aman and Kartik’s future. He got irked that this is what he was trying to do. I am thinking about my kids by earning lakhs and crores for them but you want me to do some basic job. She tells him not to run after the dreams which will not yield anything. He got angry. You can never motivate me. you have no respect for my dreams, my wishes or anything. My Ma is right. I shouldn’t have married you. You don’t deserve me. I have never been happy in all the days that I have spent with you. I have only been sad. Flashback ends. Gayatri is in tears. Aman comes to her room just then.

Neha has called Gayatri. We were tensed about you as you left so suddenly. Her family members are taken aback to see her talking to Gayatri so late at night. Neha suggests her to take medicines. She gives phone to her father to talk to Gayatri. He begins talking but realises that the call wasn’t connected. Neha jumps in joy. Everyone smiles at her antics. Shagun looks at their happy faces from a distance and feels a little sad.

Shagun is worried in her room. Everyone is preparing for the engagement. I wonder if it will actually happen or not! should I tell Sandeep? He comes to their room but ignores her. Shagun tries to talk to him but he is angry with her for not being able to say anything to her mother. She always talks about money. He is upset with her taunts. Jayanti begins to tell everything to Dadi when the clock strikes 12. It is her maun vrat today. dadi had advised her for it so that Jayanti gets married. Jayanti tries to talk in signals but in vain. Dadi lies down to sleep again. jayanti eyes her sadly.

Aman knocks at Neeta’s door. He wants her to call Akku outside her home. I want to talk about something important. She gets curious. What is it? I can see that you both (he and their mom) are tensed since we have returned from Akku’s place. He agrees to tell her everything later on. First call Akku.

Akku is awake in her room and angrily recalls the evening incident at home. She gets Neeta’s message.

Neeta receives a reply from Akku. She tells Aman that Akku will meet him outside only. He leaves.

On the other hand, Neha comes out in her courtyard with her head covered using a shawl. She is happy to see lights all around and is mesmerised by her gharounda. She begins to eat her ice cream and covers her head again as it is a little chilly outside. Aman reaches there just then. he walks towards Neha thinking that it is Akku. I want to say something important to you. You were right I cannot run away from truth anymore. I want to tell you today what’s in my heart. Neha’s eyes widen in confusion.

Neha goes out stealthily to put the roof on her gharounda. She finds Aman doing something to her gharounda and shouts at him to stop. He is shocked as she slips over something. She collides with the thaal of colours and they all fall over her. he gets concerned. You should watch your step. Are you hurt? She thinks that he was putting bomb in her gharounda. He moves aside and she gets happy that he has put roof over her gharounda. Thank you! She asks him to help her get up. He denies as his clothes might get dirty, calls her chep again. she picks up colours and he realises that she is up to something as she is all quiet. He moves aside in time and she falls on floor again. she shouts while he laughs aloud. She too starts laughing as she had fun. I celebrated Holi on Diwali itself. She realises that she hasn’t played Holi with him since last 12 years. He holds her hands as she tries to put colour on him again. sweet background song plays. Both of them are laughing / smiling all along. Neha fools him and is successful this time. He too is about to retort in a similar manner when Gayatri calls out for him. Everyone else is outside as well. He stops his hand mid air. The atmosphere gets tensed. Neha cannot help herself from smiling which Jayanti observes. Sunita asks Neha what she did. Neha smilingly says I fell. Sunita takes Neha inside after apologizing to Aman. Akku has a worried expression on her face as she looks at them. jayanti wonders aloud if this colour will go away or not. Aman and Gayatri stare at each other silently. Meanwhile, Neeta observes Akku’s expressions keenly.

Akku is in tears in her room. She tells Neeta that she was right. I knew they share a connection which I and Aman don’t share. They have something special. Didi loves Aman since the beginning and now Aman too loves her. No one is at fault here. How long will Aman try to run away from the truth that he should get married to Didi and not me? Now I am sure that they are made for each other. There is no place for any third person between them. she cries. Neeta comforts her.

Outside, Gayatri wants Aman to tell her what has happened to him. I have been watching you since last few days. Aman tells his mom that he cannot get engaged to Akku. She is stunned. Is there some problem between you two? You are saying this after thinking about it deeply, right? He nods. She talks about engagement preps. All the relatives have been informed. Dida compliments Neha for celebrating festivals like anything. You celebrated Holi on Diwali. Neha smiles in agreement. Jayanti, Dadi and Dida continue to have a fight of words amongst each other. Neha declines. you call Dida Susheela while Dida calls you Kamini ji. This ways you are a little older than her. dadi tells her to be quiet. Sunita diverts everyone’s attention to Suraj. He is asked to sing a song but he says a poem on his Dadi as joke. Dadi doesn’t like it. she wants to leave and tells Jayanti to bring Gayatri. Jayanti too wants to sing a song. She reminisces her past days. Neha cheers her up. She sings a hot number. Everyone looks at her in shock, amazement. Dadi hides her face. Shagun promises to sing this song for Sandeep whenever he will trouble her. he folds his hands before her and she smiles. Neha is the only one who claps for Jayanti all along. Sunita wonders what are Aman and Gayatri discussing outside. She tells her husband to go and see but he suggests her to wait.

Aman says I was quiet as I dint want to hurt anyone by stepping back from the engagement. But I don’t want to ruin two lives. This is why I am telling you this before engagement. She says I have chosen Akku for you. She will keep you happy. he repeats her words. You should have a partner with whom you can talk freely, share your feelings and thoughts easily. You must be able to laugh and cry with that person. I have no such feelings for Akku like! She completes his sentence – the way you feel for Neha? He goes quiet. She has witnessed everything how Neha tries to stay close to Aman all the time since she has returned from hospital. I was amazed that you were also changing. You too started acting like a kid and then cricket! I tried to stop you a lot but I was right. It will be ok to be happy with Neha for a while but a wife needs to have all the other qualities too. She has a mind of 14 years old. You might like her behaviour today but we cannot think her to be responsibile enough to run a house. We will handle her. how will she run a house! Aman notices Neha standing there. Gayatri too stops mid sentence as she finds Aman all alert. Neha had come to switch on the light of her gharounda. She switches on the light. She thanks Aman next for building the roof of her gharounda. You have completed my gharounda. He smiles. She asks Gayatri if she liked her gharounda. Dida says it isn’t good if the lights of the gharounda are off on Diwali. She offers to bring something for her but Gayatri denies politely. Neha goes inside afterwards. They both keep looking at her. aman is sure Neha will handle everything.

Rekha had wanted Shagun-Sandeep to admit Suraj in a good school. You have one son. you should send him to a good school atleast. Sandeep says this school is good. We have studied in the same school. Rekha suggests him to work somewhere else. How much profit do you get from your fatehr’s shop? The expenses have increased. Neha is back too. You will get her married in a few years too, right? I know the CEO of a MNC. I will talk to him. shagun tries to dismiss it but Rekha stays put. I am your mother and Suraj’s Nani. Sandeep reminds her that he is Shagun’s husband and Suraj’s papa. Gayatri asks Aman how can he be so sure that he will be happy with Neha for life? He has firm belief that he will be way happier with Neha. She says he doesn’t understand her. He retorts back asking her if she ever understood dad. You know why you weren’t happy? you couldn’t become her responsible friend. You were only a responsible wife to him. She looks at him in shock. He begins to explain when they hear a noise. They notice the window from where the noise had come. Gayatri doesn’t want to discuss anything further here as this place isn’t right. She walks away distraught. Shagun has heard everything and looks shocked.

Gayatri comes back inside with Aman following her. they offer her halwa but she says she isn’t feeling well. I think we should leave. Aman takes the bowl of pineapple halwa as Neha says it is his favourite. Akku looks on worriedly. Gayatri declares that they should leave for home. Dadi invites Rekha to her home. Rekha is more than happy to oblige. Anand was thinking if they had stayed back for a little longer than they could have finalised the rest of the things regarding the engagement. She nods. Things are yet to be finalised! Everyone has a different expression on their face after hearing this. she still insists to leave for her home for now. they all leave except Aman who turns to look back at Neha once again before leaving. A cute song plays as Aman keeps smiling as he looks at Neha. Aman continues to look at Neha with a big smile. She too smiles shyly as he continues to look in her direction sweetly. What are you looking at? He says you had said yesterday that you want to see your dreams come alive. But how would we know what our dream is? What’s that one thing that will tell us that this is our destiny? she gets confused. He smiles saying she wont understand. She agrees that she cannot understand all the grownups at all. He gets up to go inside to give sweets to aunty. She calls out to him and throws something in his direction. He obviously misses it and she ends up laughing. Captain Aman Goyal you have become slow. You have also forgotten how to catch things. He has brought a gift for her – the same ball. You kept this dream safely with you for all these years. I am scared what if I throw it in the dustbin if it is with me. I have anyways forgotten how to catch. She takes it from him. they share a cute eye lock with the same cute song playing in the background. They both smile at each other for a long long time.

At Aman’s house, Gayatri is waiting impatiently for Kartik. We have to go to Agarwal House. They all must be waiting for us. Neeta knows her brother. He has gone to his friend’s house to play cards and wont be back early. Gayatri gets upset but Dadi speaks in favour of Kartik. Aman too tells his mother not to spoil her mood today. Dadi isn’t sure if they will be greeted properly at Agarwal House. Aman explains that we are just going to meet them on Diwali’s occasion. It should be about happiness only. They all leave.

At Agarwal House, Dida wants Neha to do aarti today. this house’s happiness has returned with you after so many years. Neha is worried what if she makes a mistake. Dida assures her that there wont be any mistake as she is with her. Neha does the aarti happily. She turns to give aarti to everyone when she notices Aman. She rushes to give it to him excitedly. I did aarti today. he smiles while taking blessings from the aarti thaal. Gayatri, Dadi, Jayanti and Akku observe their expressions.

Neha gives aarti to everyone along with wishing them a very happy Diwali. Akku wishes Aman. He nods back and they both stand uncomfortably. Neha sticks with Suraj as she notices them together. Neha, Suraj, Sandeep, Aman and Anand go out to burst crackers. Akku wants to show the house (gharounda) to Neeta. Dadi is impressed that they still continue the old traditions. She too wants to see it and really loves it. No one makes it nowadays. She relates how she used to make one always when she was a kid. She blesses Akku thinking that she has made it. you reminded me of my childhood. Jayanti compliments Akku. She will keep her house like this as well. Dida nods but then adds that Neha has made it. all the ladies turn to look at Neha who is busy bursting crackers. Dadi eyes the gharounda worriedly. Neha doesn’t like to do household work. I can see that Shagun is busy with work while Neha is only concerned about her crackers. Dida takes them inside. Akku and Neeta continue to look at the gharounda.

Neha wants Akku’s help in making the roof of her gharounda but she wants to go inside to make arrangement for dinner. She agrees to do it later. Neha reluctantly agrees. Aman has heard it too. Aman cannot stop looking at Neha as she celebrates Diwali by bursting crackers. He smiles as he looks at the gharounda.

Dadi talks about her old times and the lavishness with which they used to celebrate any festival or occasion in the past. She asks Anand if he has any problem in spending money for the engagement. He agrees to do anything that she wants. Gayatri reasons that they only had wanted it to happen in a sober way. Jayanti talks in Dadi’s favour. Dida remarks that there is no need to use a sword when a pin can do the work. Younger people do some things in a much better way. Dadi is confused. Suraj storms inside with the cracker. Sandeep and Neha try to stop him. dadi scolds / blames Neha for it. Aman speaks up in Neha’s favour. We couldn’t do anything as Suraj ran inside with the cracker without any warning. Neha feels good that he spoke in her favour but Akku is certainly a little taken aback. Jayanti makes use of the opportunity. One day this house will burn and we will not be able to do anything but look on from a distance. Everyone has a different expression on their face after hearing this. aman can see that neha’s smile has disappeared.

Shagun’s mom (Rekha) greets them just then. Shagun and Suraj greet her and so does Neha. She wishes everyone happy diwali. She has brought gifts for each one of them. Dadi points out that a girl’s parents do it happily. agarwal family notice this. Rekha tells Sandeep that she had thought that they would have painted the house this year now that Neha is back. Dida says it will be done before Akku’s wedding. She goes inside to freshen up.

Anand wants to show decor pics to Gayatri to choose from but she is ok with whatever he decides. We should only aim for what we can afford. Dadi taunts her for this as well hearing which Neha smiles. Akku takes her aside to set the table. gayatri remarks that the couple should be best and our families like the partner whom we have chosen for our son / daughter respectively. Aman looks at Akku and Neha one by one. He smiles when Neha smiles at him but makes a straight face when Akku looks at him. He looks really worried.

Akku shows decor pics to Neeta who goes to ask Aman’s choice. He looks at the pics absentmindedly, plus he flips past the page which Akku had liked. Neha brings litchi juice for everyone. Neeta says it is bhaiya’s favourite juice. Hearing this, Neha turns to go without giving juice to anyone but collides with Aman. The juice spills on his kurta. She cannot help but laugh over the situation. Aman too smiles back. Dadi is irked though. He is your jijaji. Start valuing relations. Neha nods and then apologizes to Aman and Dadi. She leaves from there sadly.

Akku finds Neeta lost in thoughts. Why are you so quiet today? you haven’t even spoken about my dress or engagement. Are you ok? Neeta dismisses it to Diwali pollution because of which she has a headache. Sunita sends Akku to bring napkins from her room. Akku leaves. Neeta is tensed.

Akku gives towel to Aman. She wants to ask him something. I had told you to think a lot in the past days. You told me your decision as well but I still want to know if you have any doubts. You still feel that we will be happy together? He says he too wanted to talk to her about this. before they can talk Suraj takes Aman outside with him. Akku stands there worried.

Dadi doesn’t like the food as it is too spicy. She complains to Sunita about it. Dida says maybe your (Dadi’s) acidity has increased. The spices are perfect. Dadi retorts that she has lost the sense of taste after eating medicines. Jayanti praises Dadi again. she looks way young than a lot many other women of her age. Rekha agrees. There is something else about rich people. Sunita offers less spicy food to Dadi. Gayatri asks for Aman. Neeta is clueless about it.

Gayatri comes to Aman’s room and he is taken aback to see her. she looks at the thread next and he holds it tightly but then lets go of it. she closes the door again without saying anything. She recalls how she had made him promise that he will never play cricket again. she looks at his room all worried. Aman is sad as he holds his bat. He puts it back in the bag.

Shagun says I felt so humiliated today. I felt like hiding somewhere. What will she think of me! how am I living. You dint have 4k in your account. She will go and tell everyone. They will make a mockery of me. he reasons that not everyone is rich. Our conditions are different. Things are not good at home. There comes a phase in life, you sometimes have money and sometimes you don’t. Shagun retorts that they have never have any money. Why this happens with us all the time? Look at them. they are living such a lavish life. They are doing good business and are even staying in a five star hotel. He gets angry as she always talks about money. She says it is important for life. He replies that if money is more important than husband and family then she made a very big mistake by marrying him. shagun looks at him in shock. She wipes her tears and opens her cupboard as they hear a knock.

Neha brings a sleepy Suraj inside. She puts him on the bed. Shagun thanks her. he was tired. Neha says he looks so cute when he sleeps. She tells Shagun that she shouldn’t have worn this saree. This colour doesn’t suit you. Sandeep says Shagun’s friend complimented her on the saree. Neha nods. Bhabhi is beautiful but the saree is ok ok. Shagun shows its design to her. they even told me to wear this on Akku’s engagement. Neha shakes her head. wear something else and return this saree. Shagun denies. your brother has especially bought it for me. it costs 8k. Neha is surprised. A saree of 8k? The money was wasted. He nods. I bought such an expensive saree. Maybe all this wouldn’t have happened if I had not brought this saree. He too offers to return it to the shopkeeper but Shagun doesn’t want to return it. neha reasons that 2 sarees can be bought in this much amount. Why don’t you want to return it? shagun replies that its a gift. There is a meaning behind gifts. I like this saree and its colour. Its our favourite colour. Neha smiles as they both look at each other sweetly. Sandeep wonders what about the humiliation that she had to face today. she says the saree is way more important than anything else. Your gift is very important for me. for him her happiness is really important. Neha turns to go. you can sort out our your own plus your fight is still pending. She winks at her Motu Bhaiya and they both end up laughing. They both apologize to each other and make up.

Next morning, Neeta wishes Akku a Happy Diwali and calls her bhabhi. Akku feels shy. The engagement will happen after 3 days. Neeta is happy that their doubts are clear. Akku is still a little tensed but Neeta talks all positive. We are coming to your house tonight. We will celebrate to the fullest. Akku nods. The whole house is so alive today. I will send you my saree’s pic. Tell me which set will look better with it. Neeta agrees. Everything will suit my bhabhi. They end the call. Akku is all smiles after wards.

Gayatri knocks at Aman’s door. she gives him silent treatment. She sits inside to talk to him. since past few days I can see that you have changed. Your mind is somewhere else. He declines. he is worried to see the ball outside. Gayatri says I have never said much to you about your father. You were quite young when he left us. I had seen him chasing the dreams which never fulfilled. He lost to life and only the incomplete dreams were left behind. Earlier I too had supported him in his dreams but I tried to stop him a lot when I came face to face with reality. But he wanted something else from his life altogether. His dreams were too big, just like Kartik. Neither could I understand his dreams nor could he make me understand. Aman puts a comforting hand over her shoulder. She has been worried since yester night. I feel as if you might start dreaming again just like your dad. I have handled the circumstances somehow but I am feeling scared that things can go out of control again. He feels bad to see her thus. He shakes his head. it isn’t like that. Everything is just like it was. I have made a promise to you and I will stick to fulfilling my responsibilities. Don’t worry, trust me. he puts his head in her lap and looks at the cricket ball. She too is in tears as she caresses his head. he thinks of Neha’s words.

Shagun’s mom calls Shagun. She tries to know what happened yesterday. Did you both fight over money again? I know things have been tough for you since Neha’s illness. Now that she is back you have double responsibility. Shagun suggests talking to her in the evening over dinner. Her mother doesn’t look so unconvinced as they end the call.

Neha is amazed to know that no one makes earthen house anymore now. Her family members try to tell her that grownups don’t do stuff like that but she stays put. I shouldn’t do things that make me happy just because I have grownup? No one is ready to go out to get some mud for her so she and Suraj team up for the task. Anand remarks that without earthen house Neha’s Diwali is just like it was for us in those 12 years. Sunita nods. The house feels so alive after so long. All the elders sit down to make preps. Neha and Suraj march toward the courtyard. Neha wants to make flower garland and rangoli too. You elders can do your boring work we don’t care. They march out shouting left right left.

Aman was going out to set the lights. He accidentally steps on the rangoli which Neeta was making. She wonders where his mind is. He sits down to help her. she can see that he looks worried. I am noticing you from last two days. It looks like you are thinking something. Are you worried regarding your engagement? He says I am not sure. Don’t know what’s happening to me these days. Being a sports person we always play any game thinking of giving our best shot. But nowadays I don’t know why I am thinking what if I lose. She gets confused. He is not able to figure out some things. Till yesterday I felt that whatever’s happening is right. It should happen this way only. But now I feel scared thinking what if I am doing it all wrong. She asks him straight away his engagement with Akku. He repeats Akku’s words. I become a different person in front of Neha and maybe she is right. Neeta asks Aman directly if he loves Neha. He looks at her in shock initially but then says I don’t know what love is. I have never felt it. he smiles as he thinks of Neha. I only know that when she is in front of me I keep smiling. I become the old Aman (of12 years ago). I like all that. She is my good friend. Neeta observes him keenly and worriedly. He is distracted by some noise and stops talking. He gets up to fix the lights. She tells him to think one more time. I want to see you happy. he assures her that there is nothing to worry. He asks for Kartik and gets to know that he has gone to his friend’s house. She suggests him to go to Akku’s house to give sweets as she has to help their mom in kitchen. He leaves. She thinks finally Bhaiya has confessed what’s in his heart. Neeta can see that his brother has fallen for Neha. He himself has not realised it yet. Akku was right. But what do I tell her now?

Neha is making a house out of thermocol this year with Suraj’s help. He thinks about their crackers. She talks for bursting a few crackers which make less noise. Dogs get scared because of the bombs. He agrees with his Ninni Bua. She goes inside to bring stickers.

Aman comes there and notices Suraj who tells him about his Ninni Bua’s house with an ice cream parlour. Aman smiles. She always makes it. neha stops Aman when he walks towards her house. You cannot ruin it. he asks her why would he do that. She says you have done that a lot in the past. I had to make it twice always. I don’t trust you in this case. She tells Suraj how Aman and Motu Bhaiya used to burst this house using a bomb. He laughs thinking about it. she calls him arrogant. You haven’t said sorry to me till date. Suraj runs inside to ask his dad to bring bomb for him too so that he can put it inside the house. Neha looks at Aman pointedly. He stops smiling and apologizes to her. she looks at him mouth wide open and even pinches him. she laughs. Captain Aman Goyal said sorry to me for the first time in life. It is ok, you are forgiven. Come help me. She gets back to her work and he too sits beside her. a cute song plays as Aman keeps smiling as he looks at Neha. Aman continues to look at Neha with a big smile. She too is smiling but feels shy as he continues to look in her direction sweetly.

Neha tells Aman to wait here for a while as she goes to bring something for him. Neha shows him the ball that she had kept with herself safely till date. He is confused. She reminds him of the 4 that he had hit with the same ball in 2001 in the inter school competition. His team has won the because of it. I had bought this ball from the guy who was standing at the boundary by giving away all my pocket money and chips. I kept it with me as I had thought that I will take your autograph on it when you will play for Indian Cricket Team. I threw away everything (Aman thinks about that box) but I dint throw it. Neha’s words echo in his head. He walks in a trance. Little Neha’s words ring in his ears. You will take me to your match when you will play for India right? I will cheer for you from a corner. He had agreed, calling her chep! He collides with a guy and the ball falls. He picks it up yet again. I had shut those dreams somewhere but Neha is still nursing them with little hopes. Kartik’s girlfriend comes to drop him home in her car. He invites her to come in but she doesn’t want to meet his mom wearing a dress. He goes inside to change while she waits outside in the car for him.

Akku and Neeta discuss the same thing. neeta assures Akku that it is bhaiya’s nature. He never talks too much. But it doesn’t mean that he is not happy. akku reasons how he smiles / laughs when he is with Didi. Neeta asks her why then Aman bhaiya said no when I asked him if he likes Neha Didi. We both asked him the same question. What else can we do? Do you want to marry him or not? Akku only wants to clear things beforehand. Neeta says it is done then. My bhaiya needs a loving and caring wife like you. Relax, everything is sorted. It was just a crush for Neha Didi. Everyone has crushes, even we had so many. Have we thought about marrying them all? Stop thinking and come home as my sister-in-law. My biggest wish will come true. She leaves for her college.

Kartik is getting ready when his mom comes there. She reminds him of Aman’s engagement. He is doing all the arrangements on his own. He is handling his work, shopping and everything. He retorts that he is doing his part of work. She knows he is doing nothing except going out with his friends. He gets a message from his girlfriend and gets up to go. gayatri remarks that Aman wouldn’t have gone anywhere if it was his engagement. He would have handled everything on his own. It doesn’t affect Kartik in the way she was intending to. I am happy to be selfish if that’s how you will take it. I cannot be great like bhaiya and sacrifice all my happiness just to become a good boy for you. If I don’t listen to you then you say that I am getting spoilt. She doesn’t like his way of talking but he says you force me to talk like this. I pity Aman Bhaiya. He has been doing everything as per your wish. He has no life. He is even doing job of your liking and now wedding too! I cannot be a puppet for you though! She warns him that one day he will regret talking / doing what all he is doing. He too tells her to wait for the day when Aman Bhaiya realises everything. We will see what all he will say to you then! He leaves after telling her that he will return late. She thinks of Kartik’s words and looks tensed.

Sunita likes the saree that Sandeep has bought for Shagun. Shagun tells her of their dinner tonight. Sunita suggests her to go out with Sandeep more often. However be the circumstances at home you both should take time out for yourself too. Everything will fall into place eventually. They discuss the preps needed to be done for Diwali.

Aman is still looking at the ball. He thinks of what Neha had said. Throw this in the dustbin wherein you have thrown all your dreams already. Akku’s words about Neha liking him rings in his ears; Mata ki Chowki; Neeta’s questions; how Neha saved him in his mother’s wrath when they were young. He wonders if Akku is right. Is Neha the key to my happiness?

Neha, Akku and their parents talk about the Diwali preps. Aman’s family will come over too on Diwali. Neha goes quiet. Aman’s family is coming over for dinner tomorrow. sunita thinks of inviting Shagun’s parent’s too. Just then Suraj comes crying and hugs his Ninni Bua. Shagun is in tears too as she enters inside. She heads inside and Sandeep walks in looking all serious too. They all are confused and worried about what has happened after all. Neha comforts Suraj.

Sandeep and Shagun are discussing about the incident that happened in the restaurant. He forgot that his account has no balance as he bought that expensive saree for Shagun. Why did you insist for me to pay the bill when your friend’s husband was offering to pay it? you dint even check with me. She couldn’t help it. It would have looked so weird that they should pay the bill when they have come to our city. Its my fault. We shouldn’t have gone there. Neha offers to go to talk to them but her parents tell her against it. even Akku tells her against it but Neha insists. You all come to talk to me when I am upset then why should I not try to talk to them. she also knows that Suraj wont sleep here. She tries to wake him up so that he can go and lie in his room. Akku says bhabhi looked so pretty today. Maybe someone has cast their evil eyes on her. neha takes Suraj inside.

Dadi talks about the cost cutting going on in her home. The whole city is lit up but there are only a few days lit outside our home. Gayatri has got more diyas ready. Plus Aman will bring lights with him today. he is doing everything. Dadi is not interested in hearing her love for her son. When my son was alive then the whole house used to come alive and there were so many lights all around. has the stuff for puja come or it will come tomorrow itself? Gayatri wonders where Aman is. He shouldn’t be this late.

Aman comes home still lost in thoughts. She asks about the lights but understands that he dint as he keeps mum. She tells him to freshen up and offers to serve him food but he declines. she looks at him in confusion as he heads to his room. Jayanti remarks that the groom to be is all lost. I guess there will be bigger fireworks this Diwali. Dadi tells her to be quiet. Serve me kheer. Gayatri looks on.

In his room, Aman looks at the ball as Neha’s words echo in his head (Aman Goyal, Man of the match!). he gets up and takes out his cricket kit from under the bed. He smiles as he opens it. he happily takes out his bat from the bag and starts aiming in the air. He looks really happy. putting the ball in his handkerchief, he ties it using a rope. Applauds echo in the background as he holds the bat proudly.

Gayatri is not able to sleep in her room. She hears some noise. Aman is practising in his room. She gets up to see where the noise is coming from. Meanwhile, Aman continues to practise. Gayatri comes to Aman’s room and he is taken aback to see her.

Neeta asks Aman directly if he loves Neha. He looks at her in shock. Aman keeps smiling as he looks at Neha. Neeta can see that his brother has fallen for Neha. He himself has not realised it yet. Akku asks Aman where his happiness lies. He says his happiness lies in everyone’s happiness. She reasons that marriage is very different. It is about spending your entire life with someone. There is no scope for any error in it. tell me would you have still married me if you would have gotten to know about this before our wedding. Aman doesn’t want her to repeat the same question all over again. She has seen him happy when her Didi is around, even a while back you were laughing like anything. I have always seen you in a shell. Since Neha Didi is back and whenever you meet her you come out of your shell. You become carefree and you return in your shell as soon as she is gone. Will you be as carefree and happy with me? He is all speechless. He turns to look at Neha. His lips yet again curve into a smile as he finds her fighting animatedly with Suraj. Akku too follows his gaze. Neha straightens up and looks the other way when she notices him looking at her. she finally heads inside along with Suraj. Akku looks at Aman. You look good when you smile. Will I be able to bring it on your face? Please think through. Hope you don’t come to a decision under any pressure for which you will regret all your life. We both may remain unhappy if your happiness would be in some other place (person). He repeats that he will stick to his decision. She yet again suggests him to think through and then come to any conclusion. She goes inside while Aman thinks over her words. He too leaves for his home.

Jayanti, Dadi and Gayatri are packing gifts for the Agarwal family. Dadi finds it too be not so costly. It is the first wedding of the house. You should make it look grand. You could have asked me to accompany you. Jayanti supports her and praises her. Dadi is sure now her name will go waste. Gayatri has brought a suit for Neha. Dadi calls it a waste of money. You were cribbing over money now so why to give this to that girl. we wont give it. Gayatri reasons that she has brought everything for everyone (including Suraj) then why not to give anything to Aman’s one and only sister-in-law. Dadi is irked with Neha’s name only. If I had known she will come back from hospital then we wouldn’t have fixed Aman’s wedding in that house. She will keep coming here often now. Aman enters just then and overhears them talking. Jayanti tells her not to think over it. Akku will marry Aman and we will get rid of her by getting her married to some mad guy. He tries to dismiss the topic but Dadi asks him from where he is coming at this hour. he lies that he had gone out just like that and goes inside. Jayanti pin points at the same.

Dida is teaching Neha how to play Rummy. Sunita offers to teach her. No one could win from me ever. Neha hugs her happily. Sunita tells Neha to learn some cooking. She tries to talk about Neha’s wedding. She has even brought pictures of a few guys along with her and shows them to Neha. Dida is tensed. Neha asks her mom who are these uncles. Dida smiles. Neha refuses to get married. Saying so, she walks out of the room. Dida remarks to Sunita that she shouldn’t have spoken on this matter. She might think that we are forcing her for something.

Aman notices the box kept in his cupboard. He smiles again as he thinks about Neha. He takes out a pic from the box. His mind replays the memory. Neha was cheering for him when he was batting. He had to score 6 runs in 2 balls. He missed one ball. Neha tells him to hit a six now. He had angrily told her to be quiet. He had finally hit 6 and Neha was super happy. The ball had hit his room’s window only. Aman was really worried as she came out to scold all of them. Neha stood in front of Aman and took the bat out of his hand from behind. She had taken the blame on herself. Gayatri dragged Aman back home. Neha was still smiling and waving at him all along. Flashback ends. Aman smiles again.

Shagun plans to meet her friend (Anupama) tomorrow. She wants Sandeep to come along. He agrees. She gives Anupama’s and her husband’s background. They were settles in US but have returned to India (Mumbai) a while ago. They are coming over to Agra for a holiday. Her husband is at a very good post in a big MNC. She starts wondering what to wear. He has brought a gift (new saree, her Diwali gift) for her. She gets happy. They share a hug.

Neeta comes to Aman’s room. She finds him smiling as he looks at the photo in his hand. She closes the door again. She calls out for him before going inside this time. He quickly keeps the box back in his cupboard. She says she has come to talk to him about some personal matter. Akku is my best friend. I really like her. I am happy that you both are getting married. You look like a perfect couple and she will keep you happy too. But will you be happy with Akku? His smile disappears. She talks about the photo. You were smiling as you looked at it. He reasons that Neha is his childhood friend. She nods. This is why you are very comfortable with her. you don’t talk to Akku much otherwise. It is said that your wife should be your best friend. Do you feel Akku can be your best friend ever or will Neha Didi occupy that place for forever? He talks about his engagement which is due in 2 days. Why are you talking about all this stuff? You guys imagine a lot. It isn’t like that. Gayatri is heading towards Aman’s room. Neeta tells Aman to think once more. you have always agreed with what mom has said but this time do what you want. He talks about how everyone is different (by nature). I am like this only. I am happy. she once again confirms if he doesn’t like Neha Didi. He repeats that he has said yes to Akku for marriage. You both should stop asking these useless questions now. Gayatri asks him about it. Aman begins to say it but Neeta diverts it to gifts. I want two separate gifts for Diwali and engagement. She goes to her room finally. Gayatri gives the glass of milk to Aman.

Neha is getting bored as Dida is busy watching tv. Suraj comes to tell Super Dadi that he is going out to play cricket. Neha too gets excited. I will come with you. He asks her if she knows how to play cricket. He laughs at her when she nods. He asks his Super Dadi if girls play cricket as well. Dida affirms. She used to play cricket like crazy. Suraj is impressed. Neha wonders if no one plays cricket now. Dida explains that everyone has grown up now. They have to go to office so no one has time to play cricket. Neha reasons that they can play on Sunday as its a holiday. She cannot imagine that Motu bhaiya and Aman don’t play cricket anymore. You remember how AMan used to come to our house. Hitler Dadi used to scold him and he played at our house with us for the whole day. It was so much fun. Suraj’s friends call out for Suraj. He runs out with Neha following him.

Neha takes the crease. She hits the ball really well and shouts for a six but Aman catches it. The kids are really happy though. They all want her in their team. Neha tells them that he (Aman) is not in team. The kids run to him calling him Aman Sir. She looks at him in confusion.

Aman tells the kids that he has to go somewhere so he cannot play. Neha asks Suraj why the kids are addressing Aman as Sir. She gets to know that he is their sports teacher. Neha goes to talk to Aman. You became a teacher? He nods. She remembers it well that he had wanted to become a cricketer. He agrees but adds that he couldn’t. She wonders if he dint get selected in the Indian team. He says he never went for it. she is all the more confused. You should have gone for the selection process. You play so well. He explains that it is something else to be a champion of their area but it doesn’t mean he is a national level cricketer. I have a job like everyone else. She still cannot get it. you should become a cricketer. He talks about money. She has heard from her dad that cricketers earn a lot (IPL, etc). You only had one dream – to play for Indian Cricket Team. He replies that he was a kid back then. I have stopped seeing dreams. I have grown up. Life has changed. Dreams never come true. She talks about Sachin Tendulkar but he retorts that he isn’t Saching Tendulkar. Not everyone can become like him. his situation was different than mine. There are so many well deserving candidates in today’s date who are not playing cricket. They are doing something else. This is life. Epi ends on Neha’s shocked face.

Aman takes the box from Jayanti. Go from here please. She is still curious about it but he refuses to let her see it. she shows him the list given by Gaytari. Give it to your FIL. He agrees. She walks out irked.

Dida asks Sunita if everything is alright at home. There is no noise and even Anand dint come like usual with his newspaper. Sunita tells her about Neha’s cooking stint. Everyone is sleeping till now. Dida is sad that she missed it. anand smiles hearing it. Don’t worry it will keep on happening here as Neha is home. Dida thinks that Neha was awake the whole night. She must be disturbed over something. We all know what she is going through. Did you guys talk to Akku about it? Sunita thinks maybe they are thinking too much or getting scared for no reason. both sisters share a very special bond. There might not be anything actually. Akku will not think wrong about Neha. Anand agrees with her. Neha is 26 years old but still a kid at heart. Kids don’t take things so seriously. She will get over it. Sunita adds that it might have come in her mind by hearing all this about Akku’s wedding. Being an elder sister she should have gotten married first. Dida knows she is extra sensitive when it comes to Neha. You should divert her mind to something else. They nod.

Aman comes to Agarwal house and greets his uncle. Anand is going through something and asks him what first crush is. Aman is confused / surprised. Anand realises it is Aman and puts the book aside. Neha gave me this slam book. I don’t know how to fill it (first date, first crush). Aman too remembers his school time when girls used to get slam books filled by their classmates. Anand asks about his school to which Aman replies that the timings have changed. Neha comes looking for her papa. She goes quiet as she notices Aman. They both greet each other clumsily. Aman smiles as he looks at Neha when she sweetly tells her Dad to write whatever comes to his mind. Anand calls it (filling the slam book) the toughest exam of his life. Akku comes home and notices all of them. neha takes the slam book from him. there are two more people who are supposed to fill it. you will get it in the last now. Aman smiles. She looks at him and then heads inside. Akku notices the smile on Aman’s face which almost disappears when he notices her as well. They greet each other cordially. Anand tells Akku to make tea for Aman but he says he is in a rush. He gives him the guest list and takes their leave. Akku looks at him tensed. Now Aman ji only will tell if this engagement will happen or not.

Dadi scolds Jayanti for being slow. Jayanti makes an excuse that she has sprain in her wrists. Dadi indirectly taunts Gayatri that they cannot see any preps for the engagement. Aman too is busy in it. Aman comes home just then. Gayatri asks him about the list but he walks in his room absentmindedly. Jayanti points out the same. He dint even greet you or touch your feet. His mind is somewhere else. I find something fishy. He was hiding something in his cupboard in the morning as well. I was trying to look at it but he sent me away. Dadi gets curious. I am living here since so long and have raised these kids. Now that they have grown up they send me out of their rooms. She acts which Dadi can see through clearly. Dadi tells Gayatri to get her Gittu married asap. His is in some other world nowadays. Jayanti goes to bring tea for Dadi happily.

Akku has called Neeta outside her home. I had a word with Aman. I told him that Didi likes him. Neeta is taken aback. You went to say this to him? Akku wants him to think well before getting married to her. Neeta says he agreed to marry you. He never loved Neha Didi. What’s your problem? Why are you feeling guilty? Akku knows that Neha Didi still loves Aman. I have also observed it that he likes her as well. Neeta reminds him that she had gone to talk about herself and her relation with Aman Bhaiya. Neha Didi is still stuck in that time (before she went in coma) but we are not! Akku cannot go against her sister. Will I be happy if I hurt her? It’s just a crush which can change tomorrow as well. What about your and Bhaiya’s feelings? You have waited for this for so long. I know that you love Bhaiya. You are my bhabhi for me. I have made so many plans. I am desperately waiting for you to come to our home. We all are waiting for you, only you. They share a sweet moment after which Neeta leaves. Akku hopes Aman thinks the same thing. But what I see in his eyes is something else!

Aman comes to take water from the fridge. Gayatri observes him from far. He turns and finds her standing behind him. She knows he hasn’t eaten anything since morning. She serves him food and tries to know if he is worried over something. He assures her that everything is fine. She sits down beside him. I can understand your worries. You are about to get married which will add up to your responsibilities. But everything changes when someone comes in your life (life partner). When you can share your feelings, emotions, pain with them then everything becomes easy. Don’t worry Akku is a really nice girl. I only wish happiness for you both. If Kartik was as good as you and helped you then I wouldn’t have been worried but he only thinks about himself. I have raised you all with a lot f difficulties after your dad died. I thought you both will become my support in my old age. But Kartik! I have no problem with you. I only wish you and Akku get married soon and without any problem. He looks at her and is in thoughts.

Aman calls Akku. He wants to meet her right now. You told me to think and decide. I have thought over it. She agrees to meet him outside her house.

Suraj tells Ninni Bua how to play games in tablet. They both play games together. The battery dies. Neha thinks she did something wrong with it but he explains it to her. she tells him to put it on charging. He obliges. Neha picks up some papers to put them on the wall when a paper falls down from the stack. Suraj reads it – my heart, my Aman! He runs around in the whole house when she asks for the paper. Sunita tells them both to be careful. They both head towards the courtyard.

Akku is thinking about what Aman said as she combs her hair. She is distracted when her mother brings her ironed clothes for her. she tells Akku to go to kitchen to do some work. Akku gets a message on her mobile. Her mother realises that she might have some other work but Akku denies.

Aman stops Neha and Suraj. They both try running and chasing but he firmly tells them to stop. They both gesture / try to scare each other by showing their hands to one another. Aman asks about the paper in Suraj’s hand. Suraj tells him to see it himself. Neha is worried when he begins to open it. she takes it from him and eats it. He laughs uncontrollably to see her thus. Akku watches him all happy. Neha eyes Suraj angrily. She finally catches hold of him and holds him tight. Aman notices Akku and turns serious. Neha looks at both of them. She excuses herself and goes inside chasing Suraj. Akku and Aman stand there awkwardly.

Aman smiles thinking of Neha. She is mad that she ate that paper. She can do anything. Akku nods. She indeed can do anything if she can make you smile. They come to the point. I had no idea about what all you told me regarding Neha. Its all new for me. Neha’s crush on me 12 years ago was all kiddish stuff. We cannot take this seriously. She was my friend. All this happens in childhood. In fact, my friends’ crush used to change every other year. I am Neha same would have happened with Neha if she would have lived those 12 years. Akku tries to talk about today but he knows Neha’s present is still stuck in that time. We are about to get engaged now. All the preps have been made. Neha keeps peeping at them from inside. Aman doesn’t want to give any tension to his mother. Don’t talk about all this. ma has already been through a lot. Now I want her to be happy. what will your parents think about this? I don’t want to shock them. she asks him if he is marrying her for everyone’s sake or for his happiness.

Aman reaches the meeting point a little late. He apologizes for the same to Akku. They both are not so comfy with each other. They order cappuccino. She says she wanted to talk about them. I wanted to clear a few things.

Neha agrees that her Motu Bhaiya is right. I am not a kid anymore. I have grown up. DIda is also right. We only get our real life partner. Those who are not meant for us go separate ways. I will have to distance myself from Aman as he is getting married to Akku. She picks two boxes in which there are a lot many memories relating to Aman. She is in tears as she looks at every single picture (of them) and the cards that she had made especially for Aman. She reminds herself that she must not cry. She says Goodbye Aman. She picks up the boxes and walks out of the room.

Aman stops his bike near his house and offers to accompany Akku till her home. Neha too comes in the courtyard and lights the box. She bids goodbye to him once again. She turns and notices Aman and Akku together. She panics and tries to blow out the fire but in vain. She goes outside the gate to greet them (divert them actually). How was your date? Aman wonders if she had again come out to steal ice cream. Neha shakes her head. I dint even steal it that day. She takes Akku with her so that she is not able to see the burning box. She tells Aman to go too. Don’t look there. He is confused. Aman is about to go back when he notices the same. He blows out the fire and notices the articles inside the box. He looks around to make sure no one is there and then picks the box.

Gayatri asks Aman about his meeting with Akku. He forgot to bring the stuff that she had asked for. He is all lost as she asks him about food. She is curious about the box in his hand. He doesn’t reply and goes inside to freshen up.

In his room, Aman looks at the contents in the box. He thinks of Akku’s words. Neha Didi has always liked you, back when she was 14 years old and today as well when she has returned home after 12 years. She reminds him how Neha Didi always thought of an excuse to cling with you or used to buy gifts for you. She always used to tell me and Neeta that she is in love with you. I will marry Aman only when I grow up. She has the same feelings till date for you. She loves you just as much as she loved you back then or maybe even more. You both share a very different / special connection. You completely change when you are with her. You laugh, smile and talk. I think you should give it a thought. We haven’t even got engaged yet. I don’t want us to take any decision that we will regret in future. This is for our whole life. You can think about who you will be more happy with – Neha Didi or me.

Akku looks at Aman’s photo in her mobile. I don’t know if I did the right thing or not. wish someone could tell me what should I do! Neha too is awake and sad. On the other hand, Aman is thinking about Neha. He keeps a card on his bed near him. Neha looks at the clock. It is 12:30am. What did I do? I could have kept them in some corner of the house. Why did I burn them all? She checks if Akku is asleep or not and then carefully walks out of the room. She comes out in the courtyard. She is not able to box anywhere. Where did it go? It got burnt completely? Did anyone pick it? Dadi will not spare me if she gets the box somehow. Please Lord help me. she is sad to have lost everything that she had kept so safely over all these years.

Akku wakes up to drink water but the bottle is empty. She cannot even find Neha anywhere and looks around. Her mom wakes up as she hears a noise. She tries to wake up her husband as well. They both think that a thief has entered in their home.

Downstairs, Neha has dropped some utensil. She is hungry so she wants to make pakoras. Akku helps her in getting the batter ready as the one she has got is really thin. Neha asks Akku about her date. Akku doesn’t reply. I hadn’t thought that it will turn out to be like this. Neha is confused. Akku focuses on pakoras yet again.

Anand and Sunita come out of their room carefully. He is holding a rod in his hand. They are surprised to see their daughters in the kitchen at this hour. Neha and Akku smile seeing them like that. Sunita notices the mess in kitchen. They get concerned for her as Neha is hungry / cooking at 2 am. Even Sandeep asks her the same question. Neha simply replies that she is hungry. He knows that she only cooks when she is upset. Tell me what’s wrong. She lies that it is nothing. I am grown up enough to cook for myself. Sunita teases her about the batter. They all sit down to enjoy tea and pakoras. Shagun too gets up. Neha and Sunita cook them together. They all compliment Neha but Sandeep compliments their mom. Neha and Akku gang up against Sandeep. Akku and Neha even feed each other lovingly.

Aman wakes up with a start. He realises he is late as he notices the clock. He notices the box again. picking up Neha’s card, he thinks of AKku’s words. He keeps it back in the box and then keeps it under his study table. he goes to take a bath.
